[kiː'geziː], Bergland in Südwestuganda, Teilstück der Randschwelle des Zentralafrikanischen Grabens, 1 800-2 500 m über dem Meeresspiegel; besteht aus Schiefern, die zum Teil von vulkanischem Material der nahen Virungavulkane bedeckt sind, das einen fruchtbaren Boden liefert. Kigezi ist sehr dicht besiedelt von den Kiga, die sich hierher vor den kriegerischen Hima zurückziehen konnten (heute Probleme durch Übervölkerung).
